Mike Sievering

Trapping & Predator Control as a Wildlife Management Tool

Mike Sievering retired as Supervising Wildlife Biologist with the Alabama DCNR Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries (WWF) after 30 years or service. He currently works part time for WWF educating the public in the art of trapping and predator control as a wildlife management tool.

He has served as the president of the National Trappers Foundation for the past 7 years and is currently a board member as well as Director at Large for the NTA.

Additionally, he has been the president of the Alabama Trappers and predator Control Association (ATPCA) for many years. Mike and his wife, Vicki, were inducted into the ATPCA Hall of Fame in 2025.
